Amanda Winfrey, FNP-C, brings more than 16 years of primary care experience to every visit, including years of school-based health care that gives her a deep understanding of what kids and families need. Whether your child needs a well-child exam, a sports physical before the season starts, or same-day care for a sick day, we’re here.
We know that when your child is sick or hurt, you want to get in quickly and talk to someone who knows your family. That’s exactly what we offer: same-day appointments when available, continuity with one provider, and a warm, welcoming environment where kids feel comfortable.

Acute Illness Visits
When your child wakes up sick, we want to be your first call. We offer same-day sick visit slots for common childhood illnesses, including:

- Stomach bugs and GI illness
- Pink eye (conjunctivitis)
- Rashes and minor skin conditions

Flat Creek Medical Clinic is a family medicine practice at heart. That means your toddler, your teenager, and you can all be seen by the same provider. When your whole family has one clinician who knows your health history, communication is simpler, care is more coordinated, and nothing falls through the cracks.
We use the term “family medicine” intentionally — it reflects our commitment to serving every generation of Barry County families with the same level of personalized, continuous care.
What to Expect at Your Child’s Visit
Your child’s appointment at Flat Creek Medical Clinic will feel relaxed and unhurried. We take time to talk with both parent and child, answer your questions, and make sure you leave with a clear understanding of your child’s health and any next steps.
Please bring your child’s immunization records to all visits. Note: we do not administer vaccines in-house, but we will review your child’s immunization history and make referrals as needed.
