Our Story
Flat Creek Medical Clinic was born out of a simple but urgent observation: Barry County deserves better access to primary care.
Most clinics in this area are corporate-owned systems. While they serve an important role, they often can’t deliver the kind of unhurried, personalized care that a smaller, independent practice can.
Amanda Winfrey, FNP-C, founded Flat Creek Medical Clinic to change that. With 16 years of experience and more than 14 years working with patients in this region, Amanda knows the people of Barry County and what it takes to build real trust in a community like this.

To provide accessible, high-quality primary care to the underserved residents of Barry County, Missouri.

About Amanda
Amanda Winfrey is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 16 years of clinical experience spanning primary care, school-based health, and virtual care. She has spent more than 14 years serving patients in Barry County and the surrounding Ozarks region — long enough to know this community deeply, and to understand what it means to provide care that meets people where they are.
Amanda founded Flat Creek Medical Clinic because she wanted to practice medicine on her own terms: with enough time to know her patients and enough flexibility to be available when people need her most.
Her clinical approach is grounded in evidence-based practice, preventive care, and genuine partnership with her patients. She treats adults and children, manages acute and chronic conditions, and prioritizes education so that patients leave every visit understanding their health.
